Something Evil In The Night

Something scary but interesting happened Saturday night around 8:00. My mother and my cousin both saw a ball of fire flying through the darkness. They thought it was a shooting star, but it was way too low to the ground. My cousin said he believes it was a Soucouyant. In case you're wondering what the heck that is, its actually a creature who sucks peoples' blood. Its part of Trinidad's folklore and they still exist. They travel in a ball of fire, looking for their next victim. Many people of my village have already got bitten, including my mother and sister. They suck the blood from soft parts of you while you sleep. If they suck too much blood, the victim will die.

Strange to see one flying so early. They normally come out around the witching hour - 12:00am. Anyways I best be careful, I feel there is "one" living at the end of my village...
